Sasha L. Rehm, PhD

Sasha enjoys empowering, equipping, and encouraging educators to maximize their students’ potential. She currently teaches graduate level curriculum, instruction, and assessment classes for the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia. She mentors new instructors and collaborates on syllabus design across the department. As a “Triple Hoo,” Sasha has three degrees from UVA including a Masters in Secondary English Education and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction.

Sasha began her career teaching middle and high school English (6th grade to AP English) in a variety of settings – rural public schools in Virginia and at an international boarding school in Europe. In her post-doctoral fellowship with the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, Sasha served as an instructional coach to teachers in all subject areas at high-needs Title I schools (urban and rural) across the country with the Annenberg Teaching Fellows Program. Sasha also serves as a curriculum specialist for organizations helping to align and map their programs with desired outcomes.

Christopher J. Rehm, PhD

Chris began his career his career working in the back-room of a school IT department performing software upgrades and hardware repairs while teaching technology classes.  Subsequently, he stayed involved in education for many years, mainly in independent schools as an administrator, eventually becoming a Head of School.  Through various leadership and consulting roles, he developed deep experience with project creation and management while working with varying constituents to achieve lasting change.  Specifically, he has extensive experience with curricular and organizational alignment, intentional learning outcome design, strategic planning, program evaluation, and technology implementation.  He is passionate about training leaders from an early age to increase access to the future leadership pipeline.

He obtained his Ph.D. in Strategic Leadership Studies from James Madison University, an interdisciplinary program that combines the core of an MBA with coursework in leadership theory, organizational behavior, advanced statistics, research methodology, and human development.  Prior to this, he earned his M.Ed. from the University of Virginia and dual degrees in History and Operations and Information Technology from the College of William and Mary.
